China Gaokao International Admissions: Verify University Requirements and HSK Rules

Chinese universities publish international-student admission guides on their official domains. Requirements differ by degree, language, nationality, health rules, age, entrance assessment, and Chinese or English proficiency. Campus China is a useful government starting point, but the university notice controls the application.

Applicant worksheet

Record the programme name, teaching language, required HSK or English evidence, academic documents, recommendation requirements, application fee, deadline, scholarship route, and visa document. Check whether the university requires a CSCA or another current assessment and whether documents must be notarised or translated.

Submit carefully

Use the universityΓÇÖs official application system, upload legible files, and retain the confirmation. Ask admissions through the published address if the portal and PDF conflict. Do not send tuition or deposits to a personal account; verify payment instructions on the official notice.

Caveats

University accreditation, recognition, and professional licensing can matter more than a general ranking. Confirm recognition with the authority in your home country for regulated fields. An admission letter does not by itself settle visa, scholarship, or residence requirements; check official immigration guidance after acceptance.
