The Schengen Area is a zone of 27 European countries that have abolished border controls among themselves, allowing free movement of people. The 27 Schengen member states include Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and most other Western and Central European countries. Application Process
